Sustainability at NoFo

At NoFo Brew Co, sustainability is at our core – we’re committed to caring for both our community and the environment.

grain

Here’s a closer look at a few of the initiatives we’ve implemented so far, with exciting plans on the horizon.

One of the biggest byproducts we produce is spent grain, which is left over after brewing beer and distilling spirits. Instead of letting this valuable resource go to waste, we’ve partnered with local farmers to turn it into feed for their livestock.

This is an effort we've done since opening NoFo back in 2019.

recycling

In 2024, we revamped our recycling program and invited our customers to join us in helping support the environment. We added multiple blue bins across every location to collect paper, cardboard, metal cans, plastic bottles and more.

It’s been great to see the positive response from our patrons, many of whom appreciate that they can be part of the solution when it comes to reducing waste.

Our taproom teams in Cumming and Gainesville are both very passionate about making the best craft cocktails possible for our community, many of which involve making our own syrups in-house.

Crafting our own syrups has proven to be a smart move for both flavor and efficiency. By selecting our own ingredients, we can fine-tune for peak freshness and taste. Additionally, switching to reusable glass containers instead of ordering single use plastic significantly reduces our cocktail waste, making the whole process more sustainable.
