Spring Fling: 5 Must-Attend Events In The Midland Arts District

Ever heard of the Midland Arts District? Located just across Jesse Jewell Pkwy from the Gainesville Square, Midland is an up-and-coming area at the heart of a revitalization plan to bring the neighborhood an array of new stores, restaurants, and activities for locals and visitors alike to explore and enjoy.

This section of the downtown district offers spaces for public events, concerts, outdoor leisure, and more! Here are a few activities happening around Midland this spring to put on your calendar.

Stand Up Comedy Night

NoFo Brew Co Gainesville is hosting its first Comedy Night of 2024 on Wednesday April 3rd with showtimes at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Hosted by Andrew Stanley, a lineup of local comedians will entertain the audience as they sip on craft beers and signature cocktails delivered directly to their table. Please note, attendees must be 21 or older. Secure your tickets now.

Art Walk

Main Street Gainesville is hosting the second annual Art Walk on Thursday, April 18th from 2pm to 8pm. Here you will have the opportunity to experience the deep artistic culture of Gainesville. As you walk the route, discover an array of galleries, local artists, and pop up art exhibitions at different local businesses in town. This free event will allow you to meet the featured artists while enjoying the shops, restaurants, and live music along the Art Walk path from the Historic Gainesville Square through the Midland Arts District.

Waterfest

Chattahochee Riverkeeper is hosting the 2nd annual Waterfest on Saturday, April 20th from 1pm to 5pm. This free event will be set up along the Midland Greenway around the pond right next to NoFo Brew Co Gainesville. Expect live music from a rotation of local bands. Patrons can also expect a silent auction, multiple food vendors, and a large environmental expo highlighting 26 exhibitors. This is a family-friendly event, so grab your lawn chairs and picnic blanket and come enjoy a fun afternoon.
